Art and Architecture

For millennia, India has been at the cusp of art and architectural innovation with influences flowing from and out to the world. The ancient temples of South India, large temple complex of Angkor Vat inspired by them, palaces, forts and mausoleum inspired by the Mughal, British inspired Indo-Saracenic architecture with Kolkata among other cities having the largest density of Colonial Architecture.

The vastness of geography and spiritual landscape have spawned an equally impressive spectrum of art and architecture from the pre-historic rock paintings of Bhimbhetka to the licentious stone symphony of Khajuraho, from the Mughal and Rajput magnificence of the Golden Triangle to the Latin inspired Goa.
