DAY 1 | ARRIVE IN DELHI

Arrive in Delhi, met and be transferred to your hotel, where accommodations are held since noon.

Afternoon explorations of Delhi begin.

DAY 2 | DELHI

Full day excursion to Old and New Delhi, exploring the medieval and pre-modern faces of the historic capital of India personified by the Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb and the legacy of Lutyens and Baker.

Delhi, India’s historic capital is one of the world’s longest continuously inhabited cities, a juxtaposition of old and new amidst a panorama of seven cities spanning over a millennia. From the crowded cauldron of Old Delhi’s bazaars set around the giant Jami Masjid mosque to the imperial grandeur of British Delhi radiating from its landmark buildings, the capital is a compelling medley of chaos and good order.”

DAY 3 | DELHI / AGRA

This morning drive Delhi / Agra (192 km, 4 hours). Afternoon explorations of Agra begin.

“Known to exist since prehistoric times, Agra came into full flower during the 16th and 17th centuries as one of the four capitals of Mughal dynasty. Descended from the Timurids in Central Asia, the Mughals conquered Delhi in 1526 which resulted in three centuries of dynastic rule that ended in 1857. It was in Agra that the artistic excellence of the Mughals reached its zenith at a time that coincided with the political high water mark of their vast and expanding empire. Agra today exudes the atmosphere of a provincial town engaged in trade and manufacturing, its heyday well behind it.”

DAY 4 | AGRA / RANTHAMBHORE

Drive Siouth-west to Ranthambhore (256 km/ 6 hours plus sightseeing time), visiting the celebrated medieval Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri towards the end of the journey.

DAY 5 | RANTHAMBHORE

“Ranthambore National Park is a vast wildlife reserve near the town of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan, northern India. It is a former royal hunting ground and home to tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles. Its landmarks include the imposing 10th-century Ranthambore Fort, on a hilltop, and the Ganesh Mandir temple. ”

Morning and afternoon game drives are planned.

DAY 6 | RANTHAMBHORE / JAIPUR

This morning drive from Ranthambhore to Jaipur (3h, 45m / 155km). Afternoon explorations of Jaipur begin.

“An erstwhile princely state and now the capital of modern Rajasthan. Jaipur is popularly known as the “Pink City” because of the rose coloured wash that adorns most buildings in the old quarter and it is the first planned city in the country.”

Morning tour of Amber Fort. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 8 | JAIPUR / UDAIPUR

Fly from Jaipur to Udaipur this morning.

Arrive in Udaipur to be met and transferred to your hotel. Your explorations of Udaipur begin this afternoon.

Day 1: A full day tour of Udaipur’s lakeside palaces and old city bazaars (closed Sundays/holidays), and a motorboat cruise in the late afternoon.

Day 2: A Visit to Devigarh Palace, Eklingi and Nagda.

DAY 11 | UDAIPUR / DELHI

The day is at leisure. Evening fly to Delhi, be met and transferred to your hotel in Gurgaon.
